About Emerald Coast Technologies
Emerald Coast Technologies LLC is an independent infrastructure consultancy in Pensacola, Florida. It formalizes more than a decade of consulting work in the Pensacola area and brings enterprise data-center experience to IBM Power shops across the country and to offices a few miles up the road.
The practice is deliberately small. The principal does the work rather than handing it down, and when a project needs more hands we bring in partners we've worked with before.
Tyler R., Principal
Tyler has spent more than twenty years building and running infrastructure: IBM Power Systems running IBM i and AIX, FlashSystem and Fibre Channel fabrics, x86 virtualization, Linux and Windows, and the networks underneath all of it. His background spans Fortune 500 environments, consulting firms, and small businesses, and he is the creator of OpenVTL, a free and open-source virtual tape library for IBM i. A lifelong Floridian, he's based in the Pensacola area.
